Basic Life Insurance |
The A&M System pays the cost of your Basic Life coverage if
you enroll in a System health plan or your Alternate Basic Life coverage
if you don’t enroll in a System health plan but certify that you have
other health coverage. Basic Life pays your beneficiary $7,500 in case
of your death. Basic Life also provides $5,000 in life insurance
on your eligible dependent children, but no coverage on your spouse.

Dependent Life Insurance |
Dependent Life pays a benefit to you if a covered dependent dies from any cause. Only dependents you enroll are covered. There are three different plans you can choose from, depending on your enrollment in Basic and Optional Life.

Optional Life Insurance |
You may buy additional life insurance on yourself through the Optional Life plan. Optional Life benefits are paid to your beneficiary if you die from any cause. You may buy coverage of ½, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 times your annualized pay, up to a maximum coverage amount of $1 million.
