Long-Term Care coverage provides benefits if you or a covered family member requires custodial care due to an illness or disability. Custodial care is designed to assist you with the activities of daily living rather than provide medical assistance. Activities of daily living include dressing, eating, using the rest room, bathing and other common, every day activities. These services are generally not covered by health insurance or Medicare.
Information and an enrollment kit is available from your Human Resources office.
You also may request a kit or get premium information by visiting the John Hancock Long Term Web site (NOTE: The username is "TAMUS" and the password is "mybenefit") or by calling John Hancock customer service at 1-800-498-9100.
